This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Backgammon Reloaded on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.

Throw of the dice not random. Allows stupid players to send you repeated messages to put you off the game and lose. When you close all apps it deletes your account name and have to choose new one.

Its not even close to being random but you get to win and lose pretty evenly. Any long term player will know this as its blatant. Guaranteed double if you are getting smoked but in the final hatch. Never a double in any of the first 4 to 5 rolls ever. Would be nice if you just let it roll randomly.

Enjoy playing Backgammon Reloaded. One thing that could be improved. When a player is losing by a gammon or backgammon he/she should not be allowed to resign a single game. Opponent should be allowed to decline the resignation.

A mix. First, unlike my glitchy fave, this app allows me to finsh a game. Supposedly a plus? -->- We don't get to watch the computer move its tokens. i really miss this element. Definitely, makes this uninteresting gameplay (and you have to scour the board, to see when the computer's tokens have moved). Big, fat, constant reminder that i AM PLAYING ALL ALONE.😣 Cannot double when i want -- have to wait for game to offer one up. Makes no sense. And, the game board, itself, is very light and drab.

Overall this is pretty good. Two problems with it. Firstly it's not random as there are too few doubles . Secondly, if chat is not disabled your opponent can prevent you from playing by constantly texting a few letters to you

The rolls are bent and just like every other suspect backgammon app. Fundamentally well executed and presented with innovative and useful design elements. However, bent dice. Therefore five stars without considering the dice; no more than three taking that into account.

About this app

This is Backgammon Reloaded.

Play in offline mode against Artificial Neural Networks trained for thousand of games in mixed and cascade mode.
Play in online mode against high skilled players all around the world.

This is the peak of engineering in terms of graphics and network communication. Written in C++ with SDL2 library as abstraction layer.
The user interface is build from scratch using OpenGL ES 2.0, allowing it to run on any operating system, even in browser. Animations are fixed at 60 frames per second.
Network communication uses non-blocking TCP sockets using select pooling for high throughput, allowing the app to resume games while the client changes IP addresses. You will almost find a lot at least 70 players connected to the server. As time passes, it will replace FIBS by creating multiple clients on different devices (desktop, phones, smart TVs).
Unlike other games on the market, every game is resumed when the connection gets disrupted from various reasons like IP changes.
No need to install Google Play Services. Everything will work outside the box, while asking from the user no special permissions.

Players can watch running games in real-time.
In order to watch a game, go to Play Online -> Lobby -> Games -> Watch option next to the game.
In order to stop watching a game, click the Menu bar on top left of the application and select Leave option.

Any player can double the match score any time while playing.
The score, pip count and the cube value is displayed on the top side.
The table can be reversed as the user is more used to.
The checker color can be changed from black to white.
The number of games can be assigned from 1 to 9 matches.
The sounds can be muted.

In auto-match mode the game request is sent to all the users that are not playing.
In friend mode it is possible to filter players by name (case sensitive mode), chat with them and request playing a game.

Game timers are used to avoid too much waiting for opponent's move or double confirmation.

Two green arrows were added on the right side of the board in order to visualize current's player turn.

Chat support was also added, there players can talk to each other.
Unicode characters are not supported.

Available on Windows 10 and Android.
Planning on implementing it on Windows 8 and IOS... Play Backgammon Reloaded from anywhere with anyone.

There is a Reset button in the Menu options for panic mode. What this does to disconnect from the server and reset the board.
