About this app

Iconoscope is a game deployed on tablets and on the web which aims to foster the creativity of its players. The inspiration behind Iconoscope comes primarily from non-digital construction and guessing games. Iconoscope motivates players to creatively interpret concepts (described linguistically) as icons (depicted visually) which convey the same message.

Iconoscope is all about creating ambiguous icons that represent multiple concepts. The goal of these icons is to confuse other players.

Here is a step-by-step playthrough:
* Open Iconoscope on your android tablet. There is also a version for the browser available.
* In a post-it, pick a word among the three to represent as an icon.
* Draw an icon in the drawing board:
* Add shapes using the stencils at the bottom left of the screen.
* Move, rotate and scale the shapes with the mouse (rotating and scaling can be done by dragging the corners of the box).
* Color the shapes with the palette at the top right.
* Assistants are there to give you new icon suggestions. Click on an assistant's portrait on the top of the screen.
* When you're done, press the button on the bottom right. You have 5 minutes to make your icon!
* Once you're happy with your icons, press Quit and you will be taken to the site for seeing and voting on other player's icons. Can you make it to the leaderboard of the best icons?
