Awww, reminds me of being at school over 20 years ago, found memories of this game. Thanks for making this game available for Android, the only reason im not giving 5 stars is coz sometimes experience difficulty manoeuvring or sometimes doesn't move resulting in me dying. Not sure if there's anything you can tweak having a more reliable way moving in the game? I will give it 5 stars if this happens 😆

I loved Moonquake on the Archie. This isn't quite as good, mainly due to the control system which I found very cumbersome. A virtual joystick option would probably help - one that moves relative to where the player places their finger initially if that makes sense. Thanks for reviving this classic!

Nice idea, but after having had a decent crack at this I can only make between 2 and 5 moves before dying. This had the potential to be a great game but there appears to be very little logic as to what is hidden under the rocks. At least if you were told why the game was over you'd have a better idea of what you're doing wrong (if anything). I'd give it no stars if I could.

A good reproduction of the old Acorn game, however the controls make it quite slow and hard to play on a tablet.

About this app

The game is based on the moon, a meteor impact damages the moonbase and you have been called in to clear away the debris that has fallen. Travelling from level to level (10 in total) you are given an infinite collection of bombs to blast away rubble. However, the nuclear reactors around the base have been left online and if hit one too many times they wipe out everything on the level. You also have to avoid malfunctioning security robots which wander around the levels, killing you on contact.

By destroying the fallen rocks, extra blast fuel can be uncovered and picked up which gives your bombs a greater range and kill threat. Extra bombs are available and these enable you to drop more than one bomb at any time.

Mystery boxes left under the debris can have various effects, including setting you to auto-bomb-drop, freezing the droids, increasing your bomb range and giving an extra bomb. There is a two-player mode over Wifi in which you can go head-to-head, trying to trap each other with their bombs.
