Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Aadhaar Authentication Onyx Demo on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. About this app

Demonstration app utilizing Diamond Fortress Technologies' ONYX Touchless Fingerprint biometrics on your Android device. This application captures your fingerprint, converts it to ISO 19794-2 Template and submits to the Aadhaar test server.

Important: You MUST have your real Aadhaar number transferred to the Aadhaar staging/test environment. You can request for creation of a test UID by writing to community.tc@uidai.net.in from your registered e-mail id (email id registered for the UID – which is mandatory). Please see the website here: https://authportal.uidai.gov.in/developer under section "Test UID Creation Process".

Please make sure you have a valid Aadhaar number in the Aadhaar test database. You must request transfer of your real Aadhaar number to the test database in order to verify against the Aadhaar test database.
