Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing App My Stash: Yarn Demo on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.

It's a good app idea. Good UI, though maybe a little lacking in the design but that's inconsequential. However, the app had some issues with loading on my phone. When adding a new yarn the interface would sometimes "lag" for a second, and when adding a picture for a yarn the camera and file browser would freeze or stop responding. EDIT. The developers got in touch with me to try to solve my issue. It has since stopped doing that on it's own and everything is running smoothly!

Could be updated and make it easier to use as right now you have to type in every single details. If you could add a scanner to snap the yarn band and it would automatically fill in the details like brand name and type, or a drop down list could open to choose the info and than we put in the colour name or code and dye lot and it would add the details like weight and length and gauge... etc.. Also there is no option to choose pink/nude/cream colours, so no idea where to place them...

About this app

App My Stash: Yarn is part of the app my stash family of personal inventory apps. It allows you to track, manage, plan, and enjoy your yarn stash.

Colour categories are set based on a colour wheel divided down to tertiary level colours. Enter your stash info by main colour category. To track a colour based on hue, tint, tone, or shade, first categorize the colour by its primary, secondary, or tertiary level category, then insert the specific colour name (i.e. "pink") in the NOTES section. You can use the keyword search function on the SEARCH page when you want to find them.

This demo version is has limited functionality and is a sample of how you can use the app to browse through, locate, and track your supplies for projects. *For demonstration purposes, there is a limit of 25 stash cards that can be entered.*

The full version supports features such as advanced tracking & management and integration with projects.

If you have started with the demo and purchase the full version, you can back up your data and then upload it to the full version.
