Der Golfclub am Attersee zeichnet sich durch seine einzigartige Lage mit Bilderbuchpanorama und das abwechslungsreiche Gelände aus. Die umgebende Landschaft, vor allem verschiedenste Biotope, wurden beim Platzdesign bewusst ins Spiel integriert, um interessante und einprägsame Golfbahnen zu erschaffen. Bachebenen wechseln mit Hügellagen, Naturbahnen mit markanten Designlöchern. Nicht nur während der Runde, sondern auch von der großzügigen Übungsanlage eröffnet sich für GolferInnen ein atemberaubender Blick auf den Attersee und das Höllengebirge und lädt selbst nicht so eifrige Trainierer zum Üben ein. Die Golfrunde startet mit leichteren Bahnen, um ins Spiel zu kommen. Im strategischen Design des Golfplatzes wurden bei vielen Bahnen so genannte Fairwaybrücken geschaffen, um den Ball leicht auf die Grüns rollen zu lassen. Vor allem noch Ungeübten oder Vorsichtigen kommt dies sehr entgegen, sowie auch Vorlegezonen, damit stressfrei an Hindernissen vorbeigespielt werden kann. Bis Loch 7 sollte man einen kleinen Puffer aufgebaut haben um am Ende mit einem guten Score die Runde beenden zu können. Viele Grüns haben mit einigen kniffeligen Details aufzuwarten, so dass man schon vor dem Approach auf die Fahnenposition achten sollte; eine Strategie die sich bei fast allen Bahnen auszahlt, da die Pinpositionen auf vielen Grüns sehr unterschiedlich sein können.
