Absolutely beautiful theme for Samsung devices. Long time user of the Pitch Black themes on various phones. Recently upgraded to a Note 9, and immediately felt right at home with this theme. If you're like me, and need to have a black ui, this is the theme to get. The excellent quality of everything themed from the system to various apps truly shows. I highly recommend this theme !🙂

This app is amazing however there are many issues. 1) If you've installed a bunch of colors, it doesn't display what colors/options are downloaded, you have to go and select every single option just to see if it's installed on your device. It shows an icon that it's installed though 2) WhatsApp customization is broke, I chose a different speech bubble color and then saw that whenever a person fowards a quote reply, the quote reply background color is orange which I didn't choose at all 3) This isn't an issue but more of a suggestion, I hope you add custom Discord colors customization because the default color is Cyan Hopefully you read this as I love this substratum theme. thank you for making this ❤️

Pitch Black does it again. AWESOME theme, now working perfectly on stock unrooted Samsung phones with Substratum in sungstromeda mode. Only thing I miss is multi-colored icons in settings, quick settings and such but I just use those particular layers from another theme for now. I used PB on my NoteII running various custom AOSP ROMs with the then CM theme engine. Good to see you on Sungstromeda, finally running on stock ROMs.

this is a great app it updates more than any other overlay app i have, they have many colors to choose from and the most working overlays on the most apps for Samsung pie 1ui, if there is another I'm unaware, let me know. i do hope y'all start darkening more apps and has more accent colors to choose from.. like i really like the dark purple, i think a green but just as dark as the people for background would be really cool i tried another green and didn't like it only your Oriole is cool as the b

Loving this theme on my Note 10+. The only thing I don't like is when you theme device care the widget shows up totally black. If that could be fixed that'd be great. I know other themes have it totally white so you can see it and others are a darker color but still visible. Please fix on Galaxy Note10+. (Edit) can't wait til OneUI 2.0 is supported.

Pitch-black S is the result of perfecting the art of materialism, considering the depths of minimalism and playing around with the most vibrant color combinations. As the name of the theme suggests, “PitchBlack” is a “dark” theme that works with dark and/or black backgrounds (the users get to choose!) which makes it battery-friendly for AMOLED devices.

Theme-sets and overlays

Pitchblack S ships with pre-curated theme sets with pairs of an accent and a background each.

Including more than 130 theme sets and 160 high-definition dark app overlays

Supported OS
• Samsung Pie OneUI (Works with Root or Synergy)
• Samsung Oreo 8.0/1

Installation

• Enable system Dark Mode if you are on One UI
• Launch substratum
• Tap on PitchBlack S tile
• Select your android version
• Select all and configure the selected apps with the required options there.(System apps must be selected, like Settings, Android System and SystemUI)
• Tap on build and update
• Wait till all the overlays are installed and ENABLED
• Finally reboot

Q : Does it require rooting my device?

A : Actually NO, since oreo substratum team developed a rootless method which needs an addon to buy that is called Andromeda.

Q : How does Andromeda work?

• First of all download Andromeda PC client.
• Download Andromeda from play store then enable USB debug from developer option.
• Launch the Andromeda app on your device then connect it to pc via usb cable.
• And start the Desktop client.

Q : is it possible to use Andromeda without desktop?

A : Yes, enable Sungtromeda mode through substratum settings which will run using legacy method like Samsung Nougat substratum installation (installing the overlays manually).

Q : What if my device is rooted ?

A : You don't have to buy andromeda just install substratum and apply the theme.

Q : Some overlays seems to be installed but they aren't ?

A : enable Sungtromeda mode and check what are the missing overlays and install them manually.

Q : What if the theme is updates ?

A : Just build & enable while using latest theme version.

Q : What if an application force closes after updating it ?

A : Just rebuild the overlay and apply then reboot.

Q : How do i recover my phone from a bootloop ?

• Try booting into safe Mode and uninstall the overlays.
• Uninstalling the overlays using ADB via Andromeda client folder dictionary.
