This app works fine only if the TV is on (obviously), it does not turn on the TV, however it turns it off. I have to use the built-in Peel remote to turn on the TV then switch to this app, then"Select a device" (every time as it does not remember my device) then I can move around. WHY DOES THE APPLICATION NOT REMEMBER MY DEVICE TO TURN IT ON LIKE THE ORIGINAL REMOTE AND ALL THE OTHER REMOTE APPS? Do I have to pay for the on function? Fix these 2 bugs and i give a 5 star. No fix I will uninstall.

Great idea to mirror the screen of the TV to the smartphone/tablet. However there is one problem: when i want to shut down the TV while I am screen mirroring to my HTC One M8 (android 5.0.1) the app crashes and cannot connect to the tv anymore. The TV (pfs7509/12) has to be restarted in order to connect again to Philips MyRemote app.

My Phillips smart TV, does not support Youtube anymore and other apps disappeared too ( like TED ). No more software updates available. So it's no longer smart TV. I am totally pissed off like other Phillips tv owners. So this app is useless anyway. I will never buy Phillips TV ever again ! It was big mistake.

Crappy interface the "slide to the sides" means I often hit "stop" instead of changing pages to check on time information. No customization. Whoever thought taking a physical remote and doing the same thing with a touchscreen was an idiot. It's even worse on tablet, as it's the exact same interface that takes up a tiny corner of the tablet, still paging through wiping left and right. Ludicrous since the whole thing would fit on the screen. I'd like something that offers me the same functionality with a less awkward GUI.

Pay some programmers Phillips. The design of the app is a disaster. Unusable. It should support a home page where you choose your favorite buttons. Damn, it should be a widget even. Plus the TV is slow as hell also. I'll buy only irons from you now.

This app is ill designed, the need for 5 views to control a tv is ridiculous and it still looks like Android 2. Also does not download tv guide, can't connect to a server or play a recording.
