This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing StormTrek: real time thunderstorms nowcasting on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

I have been enjoying the app and I appreciate the storm alert notification. However, if a storm persists for a time, the app will send more notifications for the same storm. One notification for a storm is enough and when I dismiss a notification I only want to be notified again if there is a new storm.

Lovely app when it works. Struggling to find my location. I have unistalled then reinstalled. Tried using it outside so it could pick up my GPS but nothing. I barely use it anymore because it doesn't know where I am. It's a fabulous app when it can figure out where I am.

The video playback always seems half an hour behind the time. For example, it's 15:30 and the video only plays up to 15:00. Does it also only pick up a certain size of storm? Often other apps show lightening nearby, but nothing on this one...

I open the map and it shows absolutely no thunderstorms anywhere on planet earth which is impossible! Its currently thundering in my city and its shows no activity at all... in the whole world

About this app

StormTrek is the first app which uses the power of the weather satellites to monitor, track and predict the behaviour of the thunderstorms around you. It is able to show you the storms in near real time. Alerts can be send to your nearby in order to warn about possible dangerous weather events. Awesome satellite layers can be added on the map.
Every storm is coloured based on its severity:

- Green
- Orange
- Red

A plus is the very short term prediction about the behaviour of the storms up to 30 minutes ahead. Stop with the static meteorological apps. With StormTrek you will receive updates about the thunderstorms trend every 15 minutes.
