I recommend to anyone who needs to call a korean number to use bbb interpretation. They just helped me sort out my airbusan flight (which has no english speaker). I can't say enough how much i appreciate the work they do. The man who led me was amazing. He spoke great English and he was a life saver.

Useful App to connect with a BBBKorea Free Korean Interpreter to help with non-Korean speaker. But only work in Korea with a local call. It might work in overseas with an international call. If u r in Korea & hardly could not communicate with a person who could not speaks in ur language.

제주도에 살고 있어서 해외 관광객들과 자주 마주치는편입니다. 요즘은 중국인 관광객들이 길거리를 지나다가 이것저것 물어보더군요. 중국어는 생소에서 손짓발짓으로 대화했던 기억이 나는데 bbb 통역 앱만 있으면 앞으로 손쉽게 도움을 줄 수 있을 듯 합니다. bbb 통역 앱으로 한국의 아름다운 모습을 하나라도 더 보여주고 싶네요.

BBB Korea is a non-profit organization funded by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
BBB provides interpretation service in 18 different languages with 4,000 intellectual volunteers to overcome the language culture barrier. Also, through the online/offline campaigns for expansion in culture exchange, all kinds of citizens are participating in knowledge sharing for the people all over the world to communicate.

bbb interpretation service is a system that bbb volunteers help foreigners in communicating through their mobile phone. The service is available anywhere anytime if a call is made to bbb, then it will be connected to volunteer directly for translation.

bbb is a public service with no additional charge in service usage except the basic toll. It is available 24hours 7 days.

bbb application provides simple way of using bbb service. Instead of calling 1588-5644 and without ARS announcement, the phone call can be directly connected to the volunteers by choosing a language through the application. The language that has been used once is automatically saved, so for the after usage the interpretation service with same language can be provided without using the application. In addition to the actual service, information about ‘Language/Culture NGO’ bbb’s knowledge sharing activities is easily accessible.
