This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing iAngler by Angler Action on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. App has always had many difficulties, but now pictures will not upload. Additionally, no way to delete an inadvertent catch. Design is non-intuative. I've struggled with using it for years, because I like the concept of what they are trying to do, but the frustration levels are now off the charts. App deleted.

Got it because my friend got it and looked awesome but got it and the app wouldn't load please make it compatible with Android 4.4.2 on s4 active ik it's a great app just wish it would work for me.

I see the splash screen, then a screen with three flashing dots. No signifier as to what is happening, if anything. After several attempts I uninstalled.

About this app

We're working on a major upgrade to the iAngler mobile and the Angler Action web portal. You're going to see expanded Electronic Logbook functions and a new user experience. This version is a sneak peak at some of those functions. We're looking forward to introducing the new iAngler app very soon.

Logging and recording your trip and catch information not only builds valuable data for recreational fisheries, but also functions as a record of your own fishing activity. The program is designed to allow you to input as much data as you desire. The record is yours and may be reviewed and downloaded at any time. Fishing Trip questions were determined by collaboration between anglers and research partners. The data gathered is designed to build a better understanding of fish populations.

Trip and catch data logged in the iAngler app is synchronized with the Angler Action web portal (www.AnglerAction.org).

Angler Action data fills a critical need in fishery management by collecting data on released as well as harvested fish. We collect information on fish relative sizes, numbers and locations that is only available from anglers recording their fishing trips.
