For some reason the app won't recognize my card. It's not that my NFC isn't working. It's turned on and I've used NFC before. It annoys me that I have to constantly go to the nearest place to top up instead of going onto my phone. It's annoying and at this point I honestly wouldn't mind just using cash on the bus rather than this bloody app to top up my card.

Opens without the snapper card every time I open my phone - but won't open with the card. I'm finally in - after 20 trys I'm in! Now trying to load up it but it won't accept money. The worst app I have ever had to use and I have to have it so my kids can get to school. My heart sinks when I hear the words "Mum, can you load my card?" I got a customer survey a while back and told them these issues and even sent an email to the CEO -no response 🙄 this is not a NFC issue!

It won't recognise my card. NFC works on my phone but when this app decides not to pick up my cards. Why can't you just write the card number instead of use NFC because I'm the only one who has a phone with NFC in the house so if anyone wants to check their balance they would have to use my phone but for some reason snapper doesn't want to work. Just make it that we can just write our card number or fix the web app.

The app keeps on opening unprompted as soon as my snapper card comes close to my phone. This is a big issue for me since I'd like it if it could only read the card when I manually open the app, not automatically (or at least add in an option to turn this function off for goodness sake!). Snapper please add in an option to switch off the automatic scanning!

App will not stop opening unprompted as I keep my other cards close to my phone. Drains battery and generally annoying when using my phone - had to uninstall the app after each use as no setting to turn this off. Otherwise found it very useful (topping up worked) but this issue makes the app unusable in my opinion.

no longer works. Have tried everything I can to use nfc on S9, it works with everything else except the Snapper app. Edit: 2 years later. Are you guys going to fix this or just eff it?? ?

PERMISSIONS required

*Read phone status and identity (READ_PHONE_STATE)*
Having permission to Read a phones status and identity allows the app to read a unique ID (IMEI) that’s associated with the user’s phone. This allows Snapper to block certain phones from using the Snapper App.

*Read the contents of your USB storage (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)*
This one looks bad but we can assure you we are not downloading your content and private selfies! We are simply checking your external storage (memory), so that if required you and our in app feedback team can attach photos when using the Apptenitve in app feedback function.

*Full network access (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE)*
The Snapper app communicates with Snapper servers through the internet and data from these servers are needed to read the Snapper card (and perform actions on the card).

*Org.simalliance.openmobileapi.SMARTCARD (SMARTCARD)*
Allows the Snapper app to communicate with secure elements, such as the Snapper SIM.

*View network connections (INTERNET)*
To connect to the Internet, a user will need to be able to view their network connections (then, they will be able to select a network that will allow them to connect to the internet).
