About this app

The Greek Museums shows you the location and information of museums in relation to the place where you are now. You can know the distance and the route to the museums. If you find the nearest museum interesting and have not been there, it is fun to visit a new place. If you don't, get information about the next nearest one. When you find an attractive one but don't have time to visit it, just put it in the Mylist for a later opportunity. This application is provided in both Greek and English. Let’s enjoy walking or driving a car by the time you get there.

This application is available for 7" and 10" tablets as well as smart phones.

1) When you open the application, your present location and its address is displayed. You can also tap the Location button to update your location.

2)Select the distance with radio buttons. You can select distance 3, 15 or 30 miles, or 5,20,50 kilometers with the walking-man icon.

3)Tap the Display Button.

4)A list of museums which locate in the selected distance will be displayed.

5)If you tap a museum name in the list, the Website pages for the museums will be displayed. You can also get information about museums with the Wikipedia button or the YouTube button above in the screen. Besides, you will be informed of the route to the museum with Route button. The navigation application in your smart phone will be automatically invoked. Also, the Share button is available to share information with the developer or SNS users. Mylist button helps you to keep your favorite museums. You can see the museums by tapping the Mylist button in the home screen. Use the Delete button in the website page to eliminate items from the Mylist. Also, use the Home button(icon for Home) as a short cut back to the home screen.

6)Use the hardware back key of the phone to return to the previous screen.

7)Back to the first screen, you can also search museums with the Search Button. The search screen will be displayed. Input a museum name in the text box. All the museums having the input string will be displayed. If you tap a museum name in the list, the Website of the museum will be displayed.


Note:

Providing ads stops until 30 June 2016 for a promotional purpose.This application uses the recent web sites. But, it is possible that websites do not provide updated information. You can call the museum to have your visit ensured.

As a developerI have created the museum application for my wife who likes museums. I often visit museums on weekends with my wife. I was amazed knowing how much wide variety of museums are in the world while making the application. I am happy if this application helps you to enjoy visiting museums. I am looking forward to hearing from users as well as people working for museums to make this better.
