THANKS! Hard to find anything catered to yellow blue blindness - let alone a media player! I really dont like to change my phonds display settings everytime i watcb a movie bc it takes awhile and is annoying. Problem solved! Also, thanks for adding the saturation - good adjustment if you cant register your perfect blindness range. Tyty! 🤗🤗

Player works good, is free and no ads. The software brightness is more useful than system brightness. I also like the ability to skip in the video using thumbnails. The 3 rating is because pinch zoom doesn't work and player doesn't support HEVC which Open Camera can record forcing downgrade to H264 and larger files. Wish developer would update.

Superb app for brightening dark scenes, best available IMHO. Only thing missing for 5 🌟 in my book is slow mo'. But as it hasn't been updated in a few years, I don't think that it's in the pipeline 🤔

I need to reduce the brightness of video very much to see more relax in darkness without attention of others, and it is perfect. Thank you.

About this app

reHuePlayer is a video player app for Android that lets you adjust the colors in videos to make it easier for colorblind people to tell them apart. reHuePlayer features:
- Play videos in a wide range of formats (FFmpeg based player)
- Daltonization (color adjustment) for 3 types of colorblindness.
- Brightness, contrast and color saturation settings.
- Adjust the brightness of reds, greens and blues independently to highlight any colors you find hard to distinguish.
- Support for displaying embedded subtitles, as well as external subtitle files (e.g. *.srt, *.ass etc)
- Display 2 subtitle streams at once (handy for learning languages)
- Scene jump menu allows you to jump to any scene in a large movie file by tapping on a thumbnail image
- Automatically detect and remove any letterboxing (black bands at the edge of the screen) encoded into a video file, for optimal fitting or stretching to fill your screen
- Software volume boost for exceptionally quiet videos
- Optionally use hardware-accelerated video decoding if supported by your Android device (some codecs only)
- Browse for videos on your device using a simple video list, or explore your file system to open videos in formats not picked up by the Android media scanner

NOTE: Hardware accelerated decoding is turned off by default for maximum device compatibility. To enable it, just open the options and check "Use Hardware Decoding" (it's the first option in the list). Turning on hardware decoding may cause problems with some videos not playing properly on some devices so if you experience any issues with it just turn it back off.

New features

- Tablet support
- Zoom and pan mode added
- Tap at the bottom of the screen to pause/play while watching videos in full screen
- Swipe left or right along the bottom of the screen to rewind/fast forward up to 30 seconds while in full screen mode
- Tap the side of the screen to show recently displayed subtitles
- Adjustable subtitle linger time to make subtitles display for longer
- Display Ishihara plates (colorblindness test figures) for reference when calibrating the color settings
