This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Australian Public Toilets on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.

This is Australia.....app has limited use when travelling outside major cities and towns as if you over 5 km away, no results.

About this app

Australian Public Toilet Finder
The App on opening will locate your phone on Google Maps, the user selects the relevant icon and any open toilets within 5kms are identified, with the closest toilet is marked directions to get there.
The home button will return the App user to the first screen, the toilet button for able bodies will also include mobility restricted toilets within 5Kms.

Where possible the Public Amenities Owner, name & location, type and other information is displayed for each location; the user can choose another toilet location by clicking on the map pointer for any toilet selected will show the following information if supplied by the Amenity Owner.
Information that could be shown for those that are mobility restricted:
¬ WC Parking Available > 50M
¬ Wheelchair Amenities RH, LH
¬ Door Opens: Outward, Inward
¬ Door is over 850mm wide
¬ Seat Height: Under 460mm, 460 - 480mm, Over 480mm
¬ Ambulant: Unisex, RH, LH

The App could also provide the following information:
¬ Sharps Container Available
¬ Drinking Water Available
¬ Parking Available > 100M Parking
¬ Notes: ex. Paid parking only

The toilets displayed when they are open with a special -15 pointer that indicates that the toilet maybe closed in less than 15 minutes.
At less than 15 minutes before closing no pointer is shown so the user is not directed to a closed toilet.
There are currently 14,000 toilets listed, the data obtained has a lot of missing information, we hope public amenity owners take up the opportunity of updating information via the website. http://publictoiletsaustralia.net
