This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing OsmAnd+ — Maps & GPS Offline on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.

This app used to work fine. I'd used it for several years. Then today it kept saying my 'position was unknown'. Other apps like Google maps are fine. I tried deleting it and then re-installing it. It deleted all my tracks, etc. I can't find anything online to suggest what the problem is.

The app worked fine for the last years and was my favourite app. However after the last update it does not update the altitudes once the application is started and thus is useless for my use. Will give 5 stars again after this bug is fixed.

Very good app. The only downside of this app is the search function, which doesn't find what one types unless one uses the correct upper cap character as what is written in whatever database is used.

Inaccurate navigation. Lots of u-turns just to get back on track. Is there not a better map source for navigation?

I have used OSMAnd+ for years. I use it offline almost always. OSM maps are outstanding, especially for details of offroad trails and foot paths.

GPS Altitude seems to be nonfunctional at times. Will stop working st random intervals.
