2019: Pretty nice for no ads and free. Lots of customizing. I love the way you choose the weather location, but the temperature is off no matter where u select. There's no pollen forcast. Pretty simple with widgets and notification bar stats. But you can't modify the notification bar color so it's only white. There is an option to donate a dollar. Update: they added ads

I downloaded this because the Weather Channel App was super slow, had a ton if adds, had way too much useless info, and its UI was pretty bad. This app solves all these problems. That's why its got a high rating for me. The only reasons its not a 5 star is because I haven't had it for very long so I'm waiting to see if there are any annoying features. Also, there isn't much customization. I recommend this app.

Best thing? NO ADDS! I would rate it a 3.5, but no option. The widget color settings are a pain in the butt to get used too. The main font is always black. Can't adjust it, and MUCH to small. It seems to be in a rounded 'Brussels' type font, too. (NOT easy to see with the highlight around it!) Many of your clients seem in North America, so maybe provide a basic 'BLOCK' font option'? Widget is auto-locating WAY wrong, and few choices on manual settings. Please consider fixing these. Thank you!!

After many years of being my favorite weather widget app, I cannot take the repetitive begging for data sharing and asking if I want to change ad settings or subscribe or not. I don't mind the ads but if I say I don't want to share data, then leave it alone. And if I want to change ad settings, I'll change it - I don't need to be asked every few times I open the app. If you only use the widget or are okay with those nagging prompts, then this app is recommended.

So far so good. If you disable device locations, it plays annoying ads. However they do say that they share your location information with third party groups. That's annoying too. Since there are very few apps with location requests that don't share your information I guess they're like the rest of them. Still it's a very useful app. Simple and to the point. I don't need weather graphs so I'm good with all they provide. Good app . For now.

It looks great and works properly when given the right permissions and exemptions. I wish it were more customizable (I had to change the grid size on my desktop to make the widget bigger because part of the widget image was cut off, and there's a lot of empty space on the left side of the widget that causes problems). I also don't like the privacy terms so I set up the widget then opted out. But I appreciate the transparency.
