App keeps crashing! Notications of "weather keeps stopping". Have to keep closing the notifications

This app has some very interesting features. I cannot find the amount of measurable rain predicted. Since I walk a lot, I need to know how heavy a rain is predicted. The wind forecast is excellent. Also, I prefer not to have to change screens so much. This app eould give me 90% of what I need.

I have used this app for several years and it's been great. But they just updated it so that randomly puts news and weather updates on your screen that you never asked for, no matter what else you are doing on your phone, and there is no clear option to turn this new "feature" off. If this isn't quickly fixed, I'm gone.

Widget quick action, clock, and live update no longer work as widget since last updated. Clock and weather will only update when full app is opened.
