I have been an Uber driver for a year and this is an essential app for both drivers and riders. For drivers, you can check the surge when you are on a trip so that if Uber sends you a request before you end your current trip, you know if there are surges around you and can better decide if it makes sense for you to accept a particular trip. Also, if you are waiting for a passenger, you know what opportunities you are passing up if they tell you they will be "just a few more minutes". For passengers, it tells you exactly what the surge is now that Uber doesn't tell you and you may be able to determine if you are in a area that is on the edge of a surge and help you to determine when to request a ride. I highly recommend this app.

We drivers already get the short end of the stick. This just makes the stick shorter. Enjoy your walk I'll pick up people in The Surge if that's where I'm at

This used to work really well but it's started telling me there's no surge
even when the Uber app says otherwise. I'm hoping the glitch will be fixed
with an update

Works only for a few times in a limited time, then stops working (may be
for some hours). Else it's superb.

Too simplistic interface with very less information. Only shows a bit of area regarding surge prices , takes too long to load. But gets the job done.
