Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing MakeByMe on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

Easy and intuitive to use, MakeByMe allows you to design any DIY project using real material, tools and joinery methods. Simple add from the library of standard DIY materials such as 2x4 or plywood, then drag, rotate and snap your material quickly into position. Some design features are;

- Add standard material like 2x4, plywood, metal tubing
- Drag and drop material and snap into place
- Use common join methods such as pocket holes and dados
- Realistic animated behaviour such as doors and drawers
- Cut straight or miter cuts with the cut tool
- Add detailing using holes and common shape cuts
- Add colour and style to your design


'Make with auto generated plans'
With MakeByMe, DIY plans have never been simpler. Interactive 3D assembly steps, stock materials, cut list and diagrams are automatically updated as you design to help you start making and building your furniture. Some plan features are;

- Visualise the DIY build sequence with 3d steps
- Buy only the material you need with optimised materials lists
- Visualise and plan your cuts with cut diagrams and cut lists
- Make sure you have the right tools with a tools list


'Share your project and plans'
Once your design is finished, you can add your project to a HomeByMe room to visualise or render or share your DIY projects and plans and inspire the MakeByMe community to start designing and making their own projects.
