Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Food Files on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.

About this app

Food Files is a recipe storage and manipulation app. With Food Files it is possible to convert an entire recipe into a 1/2, 1 1/2, or double portion with little more than a click. Food Files also supports fractions as well as decimal notations for easier use by our users.

The information screen(accessed through the floating menu on the main screen) contains a button to send feedback directly to us, please feel free to make as much use of it as you see fit. We always welcome feedback and can't wait to hear from you.

Keep your recipes safe and accessible with this free app.
We are currently working on adding the ability to build a shopping list directly from your stored recipes. This should make meal planning simple while ensuring nothing is forgotten at the grocery store.
