it really makes everything work so slow, when i use it as remote control is extremely annoying, takes ages to focus on anything, loses focus all the time, takes ages for the image to catch up with what's happening in front of the camera. the only thing this app is really good for is saving images from the camera straight to your phone thanks to the wifi connection, but it is also very slow and would like to see it being improved.

Update canon cameras no longer connect to this App or their own App. This update to remove a large part of the functionality for which the consumer had paid for, this could be considered a case for class action law suit for compensation. I am not happy that canon removed these functions. Any security issues used as a argument for the removal of these services is irrelevant as use of wireless IP cameras are common place, especially over secured connections.

I'm traveling light and just wanted the ability to quickly transfer to my phone. I had used it successfully in the past, but now it refuses to connect to my S20. Not sure if this is a Canon issue or an android update caused this, but it appears tons of people are having the same issue. A work around would be nice...

Unfortunately, I have to write a negative review about this APP. I had used APP for almost two years (previously I had had a smartphone Sony) and I hadn't had any problems until I have changed my smartphone to OnePlus. I cannot make a connection through NFC how I have done it before (the Android system doesn't let me do it), and through Wi-Fi the connection isn't possible too. Every time I try to follow the guide, step by step, the smartphone sees the Wi-Fi of Canon but cannot connect with it. I have tried to find an answer on the Internet, a lot of users have mentioned this problem but I haven't found any solution. I've tried to connect with the APP team via email but I haven't received any answer. It is very sad that I cannot use the APP like I'd done it before.

Good features, but a bit unstable. The key missing feature is importing RAW-files, and I really don't get why it isn't possible, as there are many RAW-editing capable apps on phones these days. Secondly, the connection between the camera and phone seems to be hit-or-miss. Either it works on the first time, or then after 10 minutes you start pulling out your hair, restarting and retrying everything possible.

In simple words if you get it to work in one try it is awesome but since that rarely happens it's too much work to figure out how to connect the camera with the app. I've connected camera using NFC a lot many times but it's always a tough task. Also, if it does not connect there's no suitable feedback to troubleshoot the issue. I wish Canon would put some effort in their app like they do in making their cameras.
