It is our pleasure to invite you to the 28th Congress of the European Society for Paediatric Urology. The 2017 annual ESPU meeting will be held from 19-22 April in the beautiful Mediterranean city of Barcelona for the first time in its history.
The venue for the event will be the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya which is within easy reach of downtown Barcelona. This elegant and spectacular Centre offers world class meeting and exhibition facilities, a wealth of experience and a friendly atmosphere. It is located on the Avenida Diagonal, the most prestigious avenue and business center in Barcelona. Surrounded by the exceptional garden of the Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I and the exclusive Royal Club de Polo, it has excellent and fast access to the airport and good public transport connections including the subway, bus and taxi. The Congress Centre is part of the “Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I Business & City Resort”, a vast complex with facilities devoted to provide the very highest standard and quality in catering, hospitality, confidentiality and unsurpassed service.
The host city, Barcelona, is one of Europe’s great cultural cities, renowned for its unique blend of historical tradition, modernist architecture, museum and art galleries (Picasso, Dalí, Miró, etc), rich and varied gastronomy, exciting nightlife and fine beaches. Barcelona is well connected by road, rail and air to the major cities in Spain and Europe.
As in previous ESPU meetings the scientific programme will provide an excellent opportunity to share knowledge and allow broad and in-depth discussion on recent advances in Paediatric Urology and we are confident that delegates will have the opportunity to renew old friendships and make new ones and to take part in interesting social programmes.

So, ESPU 2017 Barcelona must be on your priority list in your agenda: mark the dates: 19. – 22. April 2017.
As my daughter decided to move to Barcelona (not because of the ESPU ;-) I had the opportunity to visit her and to visit this beautiful city. Together with our local hosts, we will do our outmost best to make your stay in Barcelona and provide you with “insider tips” on museum, culture, restaurants, shops, music clubs. But before we disclosure our secret tips, we are awaiting your scientific abstracts. So start writing and do not forget the deadline: November 4th, 2016

Welcome to the 28th Annual congress of the ESPU to be held at Barcelona from 19-22 April 2017.
It is particularly exciting as our South American colleagues will be with us for a joint meeting under the umbrella of SIUP.
Barcelona is exciting city to visit, a vibrant place that will be a great venue to our meeting. Our local host Anna Bujons will make sure that everything is in place in relation to excellent Spanish hospitality.
