I recently returned from Europe on a very early flight where manually presenting VAT forms at the airport wouldn't have been possible. The user experience is a bit clunky with the various image uploads, but overall provides me as a busy traveler with greatly needed flexibility once I'm back home. My hope is that more merchants adopt digital tools like VAT.

Very time-consuming to set up an account. subsequent purchases should go better, but this system is far less user-friendly than the old system. On this same trip, our other purchases went through global blue, we showed our items, ID, and receipts at the airport, and had the money in our account 2 days later. just saying.

Great app. So easy. Seemed daunting as never used before but so easy and clear what to do once you get started. PIE VAT tells you the process and leads you through each stage. It also sent me kind reminders to do the next stage as well ( reminded me to take a photo of the goods when home) . Then sent regular updates about payment. Soooo easy.

Supposed to improve the process, but unsure why all the steps? For instance, once I've submitted everything, why do I need to "request" the money manually. I already asked for the money doing the whole process, I don't need an additional button to say "yes, you've approved it, yes I want my money" 🤷🏼‍♂️ Are there cases in which I'd go through the whole process and not request my money?? makes no sense.

Clean, simple interface. I got my refund without any complicated steps or hassles. I wish more businesses used Pie VAT because it was a lot simpler than Global Blue.
