This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing MVG IsarTiger on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. I keep getting notifications but when I tap the notification, the app opens and there's no message. Miscellaneous messages that start with "Happy Holidays..." and I can't read the rest. I haven't even used the app but I've gotten three such notification teasers in the last week... and sure I can turn them off, but I'd like to know what you're trying to tell me! Just happened again today, Dec. 20, but I didn't have the most current version updated Dec. 17.

Super, dass Ride Sharing endlich im Münchner ÖPNV integriert wird. Wäre nur klasse, wenn das Angebot noch Richtung Giesing und Haidhausen ausgeweitet werden könnte. Weiter so, MVG!

About this app

MVG IsarTiger is MVG's new ride-sharing service, easy like a taxi ride. Simply order by app and stay flexible without a fixed timetable directly to your destination. Enter your pickup location and destination address. The app shows you when you’re picked up by a MVG IsarTiger and when you’re at your destination - in real time.
The route of the MVG IsarTigers does not follow a fixed timetable, but results from the journey wishes of the passengers. If you have booked a trip, you will see the estimated time of arrival in the app. You take a detour of about 15 minutes in maximum.

AVAILABILITY OF SERVICE VIA INVITATION CODE

• From July to December 2019 MVG IsarTiger is driving exclusively for a limited amount of users. The invitation code is the key to the app, which can be requested via mvg.de/isartiger.

ADVANTAGE

• The MVG IsarTiger picks you up at a stop near you and drives you close to your destination.
• If you are already an MVG customer with an online account, you can also use your email address and password for the MVG IsarTiger.

RUNNING HOURS

• Thursday 6pm to 0am
• Friday 6pm to 2am
• Saturday 6pm to 5am

OPERATING AREA

• We are running our service in an area of 150sq km between Pasing and Trudering, including Gärtnerplatz, Ostbahnhof, Schwabing, Rotkreuzplatz and many other municipalities.
• The entire operating area can be found directly in the app.
