This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing HuMap - EU Offline Maps on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

Great offline map. There is one important issue for which I have removed a star in an update: yellow tourist signs are displayed deceptively like they were khaki green! Otherwise the only thing I miss is geocaching locations.

Decent app for checking tourist routes. GPS position freezes after locking the screen. Need to close and reopen to get it work again.

Very good app, I use it with confidence for every hiking I take. But with the last update, the app crashes all the time. I can't even zoom, or search for a location... If it is fixed, then 5 star!

Great app. You just have to find the way to get the maps installed. Click on the website of Humap and follow the instructions, download the maps and put it to the maps folder. once done it works as earlier.

i used it very happily for a while but needed space on my phone so i had uninstalled the one i had and now when i reinstalled it again the maps are not available to download. i can see from others' comments that this problem has persisted for some time. can you pls fix it asap? this truly is a lifesaver when works Koszonom! Most ujra kivalo.

This is a very nice app but the GPS does not work since the latest update (15.10.2018). I have Android 5.1 on my phone and HuMap should be compatible with this.

About this app

HuMap is a free offline map application that won the Invitel InnoApps Award in 2013. Maps of Hungary (80MB), Budapest (10MB) and other European cities are available. The maps have to be downloaded separately, either from within the app, or manually from the http://humap.uw.hu/ website.

OpenStreetMap (the map source of HuMap) is community-driven like Wikipedia.
