Very easily crashes and does not cache predictions for when the cell tower is overload or when you are out of cell service range. Permissions are strange and creepy as it wants access to the microphone and my phone status and identity. Also some of the more detailed information about the geysers listed is incorrect. There are much better geyser information apps out there than this one that actually work.

Practically useless. Constantly claimed there was no data connection, even when I was actively able to receive data on other apps...and the most annoying part: showed all times in Central Time. Tried turning off location (which glitched the app to a state of unusability). Tried manually setting time zone, tried clearing data, reinstalled. Nothing worked. Not sure the value of an app that has no idea what time zone I'm in, especially when I'm in the park.

At first the app gave me an error message saying I didn't have data, but a little while later it inexplicably started working. It will send you notifications for when the next predicted eruption window is, which is great! But data in Yellowstone can be spotty so you might have to find an area with signal for this app to actually be useful when you're in the park.

Same problems apply as everyone else has said, but on top of that, the predictions are not even accurate. App said Grand geyser was going to erupt at 10am +/- 90 mins, but the old faithful visitor center had it at 8am +/- 2 hrs. That's a huge difference, and turns out the visitor center was more accurate. This caused us to miss an eruption.

Like its previous version, the app has a sleek, attractive visual aesthetic. The app makes a good first impression. With use, however, the user interface is so jittery on my Nexus 5X that it makes navigation awkward, and the included map is too small to be readable. Worse, the app sometimes inexplicably blurs & defocuses images AND TEXT, rendering the app useless. I am testing the app in Silicon Valley with a high speed connection, and the app has yet to sharpen. The effect is similar to rubbing vaseline on the screen. The webcam function cannot be tested now because the park's camera is currently being replaced. Despite those problems, for visitors with fast Internet within the park, this app is a reasonable way to get the park's official predicted eruption times. As an improvement from the previous version, the app retains the old prediction data if an Internet connection is unavailable (the previous version would make the old predictions disappear without a steady Internet connection). When the text is readable, the app also includes short geyser descriptions and additional photos. Also noteworthy: the app only has info for and covers a TOTAL of six geysers; the park has 500+

It would be super cool and useful if there were any cell service in Yellowstone. I would maybe give it two stars if it saved its data from the latest connection, logged the time of the last connection, and if the map worked offline. Aside from that, don't tease yourself with it unless you just want to watch the webcam of Old Faithful at home.
