Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing MegTaxi on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

About this app

With the MegTaxi app you can book taxis both directly and schedule for later, to your location, via the map or via entering the address in multiple different places in Sweden where there are affiliated companies, and amongst multiple in the same city, without having to call. Favourite companies can be configured in the settings menu.

Once the booking is done, you can thereafter see the status of your booking.

When the booking has been assigned a taxi, you can track the cab on the map, and if you want, send extra information to the driver directly.

After the journey is completed, the booking's status is updated with the taximeter price.

The first time you use the app, you should register your name and telephone number in the settings menu.
