This app doesn't let me log in from my phone at all. I love the idea but it just doesn't seem to work. Maybe consider communicating with nextbike to get some of their features.

There are many bikes in town. Normaly easy to find. Sometimes the map shows a bike in a location , but the bike is not there. The booking system is TERRIBLE ! It has happened at leat 10 times that the rent was successful in the app, but I couldnt unlock the bike. In this case you cannot cancel your rent in the app and you have to call the service center. They may not answer your call for the first couple of times!! Which means you may even have to try 20 times!!

all went great until I actually started using regularly the app. most common problem is that sometimes when I choose to rent a bike , the screen on the bike will not work , then you have to call them and that is simply lost/added time. second problem is that usually the app shows that there is a bike nearby and when you get there you look for it and simply find out that the bike is not there . which also is wasted time.

App was basically unusable. Bikes could never unlock, and creating an account was awful. Picking your birth date is required, but you have to use a calendar instead of entering your birthday. This means, to hit the minimum age of 18, you need to hit the button to move the calendar back 216 times. One of the worst interfaces I've ever seen. Just walk

The bikes are fine, but using the app is very unintuitive. Renting a bike from one of the stations results in a pincode that can be entered into any bike in the station, it is stated in the "this is how it works" section, but is easily forgotten if you don'use the app on a regular basis. this could easily br fixed with a short text like "enter the 6 digits code into any bike at the station". Same goes for the locking process as well.

Great idea in principle - bringing together public transport for the Munich area. Unfortunately, if you don't have a German bank account then there is no way to add a payment method, which makes the app pretty redundant. I've just spent a fortnight in Frankfurt and their equivalent is super easy to buy tickets with - I just used my Paypal. Needs a lot of improvement. Embarrassingly bad for a tourist city's official public transport app.
