About this app

flexo ist ein neues Busangebot im öffentlichen Nahverkehr mit barrierefreien Kleinbussen im Großraum Braunschweig. Bei flexo gibt es keinen starren Fahrplan, sondern die Busse fahren nur auf Nachfrage. Eine Software bündelt Fahrtwünsche und erstellt individuelle Fahrtrouten. Dabei achtet die Software darauf, dass kein Parallelverkehr mit Linienbussen entsteht und verweist auch auf das vorhandene Busangebot.
Um flexo einfach und schnell zu erreichen, wurden in der Region Braunschweig neben den bereits existierenden Bushaltestellen mehr als 200 neue Halteorte für flexo geschaffen. Alle Orte, an denen flexo hält (bestehende Haltestellen und neue Halteorte), heißen flexo Stops.
Mit der flexo App können Fahrtwünsche ganz einfach angefragt und gebucht werden. Auch die Buchung von regelmäßigen Fahrten ist möglich. Einfach Start und Ziel eingeben oder den nächstgelegenen flexo Stop auf der Karte auswählen und Fahrt anfragen. Es wird die nächstmögliche Fahrt mit flexo angezeigt. Entspricht die deinen Wünschen, kann sie verbindlich gebucht werden.
Bei flexo gilt der VRB-Tarif. Fahrkarten können an den Vorverkaufsstellen, bei den Busfahrer*innen oder in der App „VRB Fahrinfo & Tickets“ erworben werden.
Ausnahmen: Die Sammelschülerzeitkarte gilt an Schultagen erst ab 16:00 Uhr. Das VRB-Kurzstreckenticket gilt nicht.
Zunächst ist flexo in den Projektgebieten Wahrenholz/Wesendorf, Cremlingen/Schandelah, Hoheneggelsen/Baddeckenstedt, Seesen, Salzgitter-Bad, Salzgitter-Thiede, Lehre, Wolfsburg-Nord, Wolfsburg-Südost und Wolfsburg-Südwest gestartet.
