This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing BMW Connected on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

When trying to add a destination on the app it is not able to search for the location, defaults to a blank screen or is unable to send the destination information to the vehicle. I suggest the allow a user to type in the information/address directly in Destinations and send it to the vehicle. Currently it just shows Petrol, Service and a third I cannot recall at this time

It would be helpful if there was somewhere that the features the app supports for a specific model can be checked, ideally with supporting screen shots; a simple (text), but clear list would be enough. Maybe there already is, if so making it a little more obvious would be helpful. I wouldn't say it was a great App or even that it is especially useful, but it is interesting enough that I won't uninstall it.

Useful for basic remote functions, like locking and unlocking. Most features beyond these require a premium subscription. Apps listed as supported to interact with the BMW through this app, e.g., Spotify, work for a time and after an update stop working for months. Not a bad app but very limited compared to other brands.

This app is not what I thought it would be. It works only as a location for the vehicle. Remote instructions only worked few times but does not always work when needed, all I get is a "Remote Service cannot be executed at the moment" message. So it's not working the way it was sold to me.

Just doesn't work ... says something went wrong, please try again...and again.... and again. Removed and re installed .... just the same

Destinations There was a problem possessing your last request please try again.... Don't you think it would be a good idea to say what is actually wrong.... Enable location and update location...(via google maps) That is a shorter message than the rubbish shown with the error and it tells you the problem instead of users not having a clue what is wrong... (Fixed ) Testing functionality before updates would stop user frustration...
