Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing neodrives smartConnect on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.

Very disappointed when I upgraded my SMMI so I could have turn by turn directional guidance that maps won't work without paying a subscription of £24.42. That was the main reason I purchased new display. It wasn't made clear I had to pay before the purchase of the already over price SMMI display. Not even a trail version. BAD DON'T BUY

Does not pair up, thereby useless. Kann sich nicht mit dem Display verbinden, unbrauchbar. P.s. 30 dollars for a map service is insane.

About this app

With the neodrives smartConnect app on your smartphone you obtain useful additional functions. The app serves as an information center, which is always at hand. You can record the e-bike and map data of your tour and evaluate them afterwards.
The smartphone can be safely stowed in the pocket.

Please note for Android 6 or higher: To use the app, all permissions must be accepted. You will be asked at the first app launch to confirm everything with "Allow". Subsequently the permissions in the application manager -> smart connect -> permissions can be activated.

The map can now also be displayed in the MMI. However, the neodrives app must be actively open in the foreground of the smartphone when the smartphone display will be locked.

To run the new version of the app in combination with the sMMI Connect, an update of the sMMI Connect to the latest version is required.

The app is compatible for the neodrives Z15 system (up to model year 2017) and not compatbile to the Z20 sytem (starting from model year 2018).
