This app used to be amazing with my smokefire but now that they changed it its not even close to what it was. I don't need all the videos or tutorials on how to cook food. I just want to be able to set grill temp and probe temp alerts. No you can do the probe but the grill is no longer controllable and if it is I haven't figured it out. Had this grill from the beginning so the ups and downs are what I'm used to.

Earlier this year Weber made a huge mistake and updated the UI for this app with all the worst decisions possible. I used to find it perfectly adequate. No one in their sane mind thought that using a finicky dial to set temperatures was an improvement over being able to enter them directly. What is even worse is as imprecise and finicky as the dial is IT RESETS every time the probe temp changes before you lock it in. This reeks of a suit justifying their job, no way a dev thought this was okay

Nice when it works... but it never does. I'm trying out this Weber hub for the first time today and it's INFURIATING!! The hub is supposed to have a rechargeable battery inside, but it doesn't charge. After an hour+ of troubleshooting the device, the app, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc., etc., i finally figured out that the device has to be plugged in CONSTANTLY to work! It wasn't easy to find a bunch of usb cables, extension cords, etc., just to check the temperature on my smoker!! *facepalm*

I'm not sure when and how this happened. I'm now grilling for the first time with a new phone (Pixel 8 Pro) and the app won't let me type in the fields for setting a temperature range. That's a pretty fundamental feature for this app that needs to work. It could be related to my new phone (unlikely I'm guessing) but I also haven't grilled in several months, so could've been a recent update.

The new revamp of the app is horrible. The last UI was very easy to find and cook selected cuts of various meats. Now it's all bogged down in recipes. I beg you to bring back the old simple grill cooking section and if you must make recipes a seperate section. I'm also getting tons of bad alerts now. I've been trying to cook steaks with some of these new recipes and it's telling me to flip steaks 15 seconds after I start cooking. Time to hunt down an old APK until product figures it out.

I truly enjoyed my smoker the first 5 times I used it, then I started getting the "Flameout" error. I found that the glow plug wasn't working. So I replaced it. it has worked fine (the glow plug) for the last year. Now I fight with it not feeding pellets correctly. I have the new upgraded chute that is supposed to feed pellets better but after about 90 minutes the pellets quit feeding into the auger. So long as I babysit it all day, it works okay. I had greater expectations for $1200.
