This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing silk on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. As soon as I opened the app (even for the first time) I had a huge obnoxious ad open. Then I couldn't even look at the settings without an ad up top AND at the bottom. I was willing to pay for the ad free version as my husband has it on his iPad. I decided to delete as I didn't have a chance to try it out without being bombarded.

Ads everywhere, couldn't really see to draw. Not sure why you would bother. The website is great!
