Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing KeyHero on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

The quality of your keys is flimsy and the cut keys rarely worked, never without a struggle. I constantly had to go get the other set from my friend, who was assisting me while I've been recuperating. I finally went back to Lowe's, where the key hero machine is located, and ask them to replace it. Their key worked from day one. And they didn't charge me to replace it...sure they get a cut Why put a guarantee that you cannot live up to? How can I recommend your product? Help me with this one.

So the app works great, but the instructions are terrible. First, it won't backup your keys unless you have an active account. It will text you a link to download the app, but no backup. The problem that people have been having with not being able to enter the code is that that's only to make keys from the app itself, not to back them up. The only way to back them up is to make another physical copy, then at the end, the kiosk asked if I want a physical backup. Send to your account email.

So far so good. Had to go to email and follow the steps back and forth through several steps and emails and the app on my phone and the computer desk top websight until it was complete. I have a saved key profile. Not to terribly difficult but requires a little patience.

This was a very easy app to use. Gives you step by step instructions to get you to a near by machine to use. It also offers great prices as well. Love it.

The keys made worked perfect. Had to request my digikey. Did not initially did not get the link, but they followed up a day later with the link. Great job!

There is no way to enter a PIN to upload a digital key. This is most user's first experience trying to use the app and is utterly broken. Overall a very frustrating experience.
