The app used to work great, but still suffers from the multiple attempts. The app is set to automatically update so I am on the newest version. However after an update about 2 or 3 weeks ago this app has been doing significant battery drains to the extent that I had to force close it. My most recent usage is "active 1 min. Background 6hr 14m 41.1% battery usage." There are other apps that I have an hour actively used with only 6% battery usage.

Responding to developer: I just tried again with compatibility mode enabled, and it still coming up with "Connection Error." UPDATE: After the 10/28 update, THE APP STILL DOESN'T WORK PROPERLY. As you may be reading, the current build is broken. My android phone might 1 in a 100 times actually unlock the door. My work iPhone has no issues. They've let this app be broken for over a month now with no sign they intend to fix it.

Responding to Dev. I have updated the app to the new version. Still not working 90% of the time i need to ipen the app and lock it manually. This didn't happen a few versions ago. Also, the app keeps stopping from running in the background Even though i have battery optimization off and allowed it full access. My wife and i are having the same issues. I have a pixel 4XL and she has a Samsung Galaxy S10. This is unacceptable considering it use to work perfectly.

Update Nov4th: App automatically updated on my phone. Problem still unresolved. Update: Already did everything suggested a long time ago and still nothing. Not responsive, lock always disconnects when trying to update. When it does work it's very slow. I even got the kevo plus to see if that would help. It doesn't. Contacted customer support a year ago and still haven't gotten a response.

Right now I can't pair my lock. It complains about connection issues. I'm stuck on the broken 2.8.1 android app. I was told by that there is a new 2.9 version that fixes lock pairing issues, but clearly that phased roll-out is going quite slowly and there's no way to ask Google to kindly accelerate me in the roll-out. I will update this once I get an updated app and I can get my lock working. For now it's dumb lock. Update: I downloaded 2.9 and I still got the same connection error message. 😠

It was okay, but after the last update, it has started overloading my phone processor (2-3x a day) causing my phone to crash. Not being cross compatible with most widely used automation platforms is a bit frustrating too. Maybe it is time to ditch it?
