If you have navigation this is the best way I have found to put addresses in the car for easy access. It is a pain that it requires USB. Some of the car functions can use the wifi hotspot on my phone. If the car could go to the UVO site directly instead of working with this app via USB that would be great. I don't really use this app other than for adding addresses (POIs) for the navigation. I really like to built in navigation and use it more often than Android Auto.

I will not be purchasing another KIA. Their technology is behind and it is sad. There is no way they put thought in the display apps and features of my 2017 Kia Sorento. I have been in different makes and models when riding with friends and family. By far my Kia Sorento has the worst tech experience. If cars did not depreciate so much, I would get rid of it and move away from Kia.

Pretty useless app. You must have a USB cable connected for most of the features to work.. Except that even the cable doesn't work if you have Android auto running. Plus no remote start or unlock features and you can't even locate your car remotely aside from the parking minder. Lame.

As others have mentioned, you have to have your phone connected via USB for most of the features to work. Why not just Bluetooth? When I am connected to home WiFi, the app always errors out, i.e. will not connect. If I disable WiFi and connect via my phone service it always connects. I called the tech support to ask why UVO doesn't connect over WiFi, and after stumbling around for an answer they told me it must be my WiFi. Guess what? Every other app on my phone connects just fine over Wifi. I'll let you judge which app is at fault here.

Completely useless app. Despite my car only being two years old and my phone being almost brand new, I cannot connect my phone to my car via bluetooth or USB, even though both should work. It's really sad that Kia is so behind all the other car companies in this respect and even more sad they would release an app to their customers that does nothing more than waste time and cause immense frustration. I'm deleting the app, and giving up on using the smartphone features in my car. Thanks a lot KIA.
