First, full-screen pop-up loud audio/video adverts that hog your screen without any warning or notification are totally unjustified, exceedingly annoying, and are highly likely to cause many users to delete the app. I'm sure no one would disagree about the need for free apps to raise revenue by other means, including advertising. Why not ease the pain by displaying a warning note which includes a countdown timer - such as: "A full-screen audio/video advert will be displayed in 5 seconds (counting down to zero). It may be loud, so be prepared and turn down the volume on your device". The actual app is ok, but not great. Aircraft icons seem to be identical in size, with no way to differentiate between a massive Airbus A380 and a tiny Vans RV7. Nor is there a way to differentiate between fixed-wing and rotary-wing. Finally, the app is a little buggy - somtimes getting stuck in a loading loop, and also very unresponsive to the back button.
