This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Hoover App on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.

In my previous review I mentioned that the old app was removed. I found it named "Hoover Quest 1000". Not sure why I couldn't find it a few days ago. Either way, this app is clearly newer and I decided to give it a try. The old Quest 1000 app still connects to my vac just fine, this new one scans forever. No error message, no feedback. It also wants Bluetooth turned on, and the old Quest 1000 never needed it before. I am a developer but admittedly not keen on Android development, but am marginally familiar with the development tools. I plugged in my Samsung S9 and attempted to diagnose the issue, and there is some kind of crash report being thrown, but at this moment I am unable to view the contents of that report. The average user however can't be expected to go this far even if I can find out what is wrong. Please provide feedback as to why it cannot connect. Maybe the old app is still better, but I'd like to decide for myself. Even a FAQ page with common issues. All I can say, this better not be a firewall issue because there is no reason that this robotvac needs to communicate with an external server.

Tried to register my vacuum, button to browse for pictures to add to proof of purchase section doesn't work. Also, doesn't tell you where to find serial number's location on box or vacuum. You really could do better fixing this app. Sorry.

Doesn't connect to Quest 800, keeps loading nd scanning forever

I have had this app for over year. Has to be one of the worse apps I have ever dealt with. It will not keep my maps takes forever to load up if it loads at all. Love my vacuum but this app is worse.

stopped connecting even when in close proximity. app worked until august update. will try powering off and on robot. However....if robot stalled (carpet) or i manually stopped it...it forgot the schedule and i have to go into app and click schedule to reset.

I actually have no prob using this app! My settings automatically changed while I was vacuuming both my carpeted floors & my hard wood floors! The auction is AMAZING! IT'S SO POWERFUL! My best investment yet!! I nicknamed my vacuum "holy grail!" 😁
