In March 2018 the Fourth Annual Congress of the European Society for Vascular Medicine will take place in Prague. In addition, the congress will be staged in cooperation with the Czech Society of Angiology. The latest developments in the field of vascular medicine will be the highlights of this event.

Vascular medicine is the fastest growing field of internal medicine. Patients with peripheral artery disease currently account for the third largest disease category worldwide, associated with an exceptionally high cardiovascular risk and resulting in an exceedingly high mortality rate. Access to treatment for these vascular patients is still appalling on a global scale.

Therefore, it is important to establish a network to help these patients with the highest level of knowledge. The ESVM Congress in March 2018 is to contribute to this.

We wish you a wonderful stay at the congress in Prague and a memorable conference experience from which you will take home new expertise for the treatment of your patients.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

On behalf of the Czech Society of Angiology and the European Society for Vascular Medicine (ESVM), it is with great pleasure that we invite you to the Fourth ESVM Congress to be held in the beautiful and historic city of Prague, Czech Republic from 18 to 20 March 2018.

The overall theme of the Congress is “vascular medicine of many ways”. The Congress endeavors to offer delegates a full and wide-ranging educational program that includes current topics, challenges, and advancements in vascular medicine. The program will also include real-time case presentations of arterial, venous, and aortic interventions from three catheterization labs.

The Congress welcomes clinicians and researchers to join us for keynote lectures, state-of-the-art plenary sessions, focused workshops, advanced clinical seminars, and many other sessions. The sessions and working groups will allow attendees to discuss their own perspectives and national experiences. We firmly believe that meeting in person is integral to furthering our work in medicine.

Many European leading experts have already confirmed their participation, but we welcome abstract submissions from other vascular medicine specialists as well. We especially encourage submissions from junior specialists.

Join us in March 2018 in Prague, the city of culture, art, and hospitality! We look forward to seeing you at this important event.
