This is one of the best smart apps I've used so far. It's clean, well-organized, and has a simple layout that anyone can use. The only thing that bugs me is that there's no dark mode for the app. When you sleep and wake at different times every day, it's difficult to wake up to a blinding white screen in order to turn on your devices. Since Google disabled the Assistant's ability to unlock your device so that it may process and activate commands "hey turn on the lights" is not an option for me.

Intermittent inability to add devices, software freezes, I purchased a bunch of smart outlets, could only get a couple of them connected, the other ones are useless. Tried dozens and dozens of times to add and configure devices, with no luck. Followed troubleshooting, including uninstall and restall and reconfigure and reset and reset and reset and reset, no joy. Software is useless.

The app makes devices easy to manage and control. There is much room for improvement with the scenes and smart actions. You can only have three smart actions enabled at a time. It would be nice to use more (-1 star). You can schedule devices to turn on or off during a certain time of day. It needs the ability to group devices together so when one is on/off, they all match that setting. You currently need actions for that, which are limited. Ex. I use a switch to control two smart plugs.

It works, timer is great, and it's slim, so my second plug works next to it. Only annoyance is the 'runtime', 45 mins is displayed as "0.75 hrs". I'm constantly doing maths riddles in my head trying to figure out minutes. I like to warm up my coffee machine, so it's annoying because it should be easy to fix.

Very limited smart actions that frequently fail to work. Not useful for home automation. Updates occasionally cause failures and unexpected changes to schedules. Good for scheduling lights and outlets. Good if you don't want to get up to turn things on and off.

Plugs/Powerstrip excellent: KC115 Cam absolutely dire. The app works well to aggregate our 4 HS100 Kasa plugs & 1 KP303 Kasa powerstrip. All features work as expected with instant responses. After our excellent experience over several years of the TP-Link devices (including powerline 8030 and 8010 1200Mbps devices providing our home wired LAN) we added a KC115 pan/tilt camera to our home. The KC115 element is slow and the Kasa Smart app lags badly in trying to playback or show current view.
