Can be a huge battery drain even if not used (not navigating, not connected to TomTom device in car, not in foreground). Unfortunately, resitricting its background activity will make it useless as a way to get the traffic info to the TomTom device.

Works OK, but limited usefulness. Search function is nowhere near as good as Google maps. I keep getting results on other continents. A bit of location based filtering would be nice. It also eats batteries for breakfast. I regularly have Android telling me that it's not responding. It's main use is as a hands free connection. I could probably use it more if it was better. I really like the TomTom. Wish the app was built to the same standard.

Something has changed this week as I now can't see "my places" on my smartphone (Samsung S7) nor can I send a destination to my TomTom 6200 a truck one. Have been in contact with customer care who seem to just send the same reply over and over (ref: 1198836) . Really annoyed with it now. Have tried using different phones to see if it's my phone but no different.

My Pixel 4a and TomTom Rider 500 seem to be connecting now and working well in terms of reliability and not draining the phone battery. However only 4 stars as the app sends any designed routes to my satnav as GPX files "tracks", not as the TomTom's own ITN files. This means I can't see any waypoints (when riding the route) or amend the route. This makes it of limited use to me.

The application is very important and useful, but unfortunately it is unstable and makes the phone stop working and consumes the battery greatly. Why this failure is for such an important application and for an important company. The application was tried on more than one device, and unfortunately, the same problems that make the use of the application very annoying. A little interest is a lot of benefit. Waiting for update and development.

Poorly functioning quite frequently, constant App not responding messages, even whilst writing this it's interuppting with not responding using battery power even though not actively using, rarely works/connects to TomTom device. Not as useful as I thought it would be. Down graded to a 2 star now due to continuing App not responding messages and using up 3% battery in 30 mins. Uninstalled now & will have to install each time I need to for TomTom device.
