About this app

Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) is an Indian Twenty20 cricket league established by the Tamil Nadu State Cricket Association (TNCA) in August, 2016. The domestic cricket competition is modelled along the lines of the popular Indian Premier League (IPL). Only cricketers registered in Tamil Nadu are eligible for the competition. STAR India will be the broadcaster.

The objective of the league is:
To develop Tamil Nadu players to play competitive T20 matches
To provide a platform for Tamil Nadu players to exhibit their talent
To have sustainable model for developing infrastructure in districts, and
To bring in new audiences to the grounds.

The TNPL is a franchise - based T20 cricket tournament comprising of eight teams who will be competing against each other.
