About this app

Press the button in the Pointer application to remember your current location and it will show you how to get back to that location later. This application can work without an internet connection, which allows for use in areas where mobile data connections are not available. Pointer will help you not get lost somewhere in the forest or a foreign town. Just look at the arrow showing the direction and make sure you are walking in that direction. This application can identify possible errors that you’ve made as well, helping to orientate you correctly.

It uses algorithm, which helps to save battery energy by shutting down GPS and using only location gotten from network provider if accuracy is acceptable.

In the full version of Pointer, you can also store more than one location and check desired points on the map. This really helps in situations when you’re travelling and want to mark points of interest on the map. Usually, this is done in hotels or other places where wireless connections are available. You will always know your way to checked points of interest and back to your hotel without any additional costs (pointing direction works in offline mode).

Help
Press the menu button, select “Points” or tap on the box with the address to get to the points window. Enter or select a new destination to which Pointer should point. Just follow the arrow directions and look at the distance to your destination.

Note that this device uses a compass, which is sensitive to magnetic fields. To ensure the correct behavior of compass you have to degauss the device. To do that you have to move your device according to this picture:

Remember that magnetic fields around you may interfere with correct results. Keep this in mind when your device is near electronic equipment because its magnetic field could distract the compass arrow.
