The good: It didn't eat up my phone battery. In fact I had this, WhatsApp location tracking and Garmin LiveTrack running on my phone, and more than 6 hours later I still had 40% battery left. Not bad for a 3 year old phone. The bad: It was a waste of time installing it. I upgraded it to 4.1 the night before the marathon, which didn't inspire confidence. Then reading about all those in time zones ahead of us, and those mad enough to start at midnight in the UK having problems with it, inspired even less confidence. At the start line, I started my Garmin Watch and then press Start My Run in the app, and started to run, only to notice it then needed permission to use my location, so I headed back to the start line and did it all over again. It was when I surprised someone at a drinks stop at 21 miles that I realised something was up, as she'd been tracking me and it said I was at 19 miles. When I finished, my Garmin said 26.29 miles which was correct as I'd cycled the route previously to make sure, and I looked at the app and it said I'd done 24 miles. No chance I was going to walk another 2 miles so I just ended my run. I didn't even need the app to upload my run, the instructions came through by e-mail and I just connected my account to Strava on my PC. At least that part was easy. All in all, it was clearly a rush job due to the circumstances, which I can understand. It didn't affect my walk in any way but I'm sure there are others who were using it as their only proof of completing the distance, and who would have been very disappointed.

This app is easy to use. I really liked the commentary throughout. My only criticism is it said at 26 miles congratulations you have done it and I stopped. Good job a friend saw in the tracker that I had .20 to go so I carried on. All in all very pleased with the app and the whole event. Plus it was easy for friends and family to track me. Also didn't drain my battery. Thank you.

Wife took part in the virtual Marathon today. Got to the end (had audio message), looked at the app and pressed the pause button (which shouldn't have been available if she'd finished) only for the app to crash. Tried to open it, but it kept crashing. Reinstalled it, put her details in again, but it's now saying that she's already started the race and won't link it again. When I look at her runner number, it says she's done 99%, even though I have a screenshot of her at the virtual finish line.

Absolute waste of battery. Measured at 25% or more discrepancy. At 4 miles it said I had done less than 3. After completing 26.2 miles the app said 18.5 miles completed. I walked half a mile as a cool down then closed the app as it was cheering mile 19 by pressing 'end my run'. It then showed me as finishing 26.2 miles! It had also included the cool down time which is classed as my finishing time. Not a happy bunny to say the least.

2020...disappointing... My friend and i ran next to each other and there was discrepancies between our result... She got a sub 4 and i didnt!! Gutted. On messaging all i got was a pretry generic "download your own device info"... Really shouldn't need to. Our start times aligned, commentaries were out of sync all the way and it said i finished 10 minutes after her when we both stopped at the same time! Trying to find a results list is impossible! Although my friend found it on hers🤔version 4.1!

Not really sure what the point of the app was. It was highly inaccurate and no one was able to properly track me so it was all in all disappointing. I hadn't got a second device, what with trying to sort out a route that I could feed my baby on, it slipped my mind. Huge mistake given the app was 5 miles short of the route I'd planned. Waste of time. So upset
