Looks like a version of EFIS TA, but not crippled. I couldn't figure out how to get into the setup screens... it's easy, just swipe the whole screen to the left! It seems to work ok on the ground but will fly this pretty soon and see what happens. Will report back. Samsung T800 10.5" tablet.

Hi, im curious to what the physics behind the issue is with your warning about helicopters. I noticed that the AH drifts in roll to the left (bell206L, practical nil vibrations) but i would have thought that the forces felt by the phone are the same whether a helicopter, plane, car, boat, horseback, etc etc.. as far as i know the AH that we have are the same as offered for the fixed wing market, even the aspen panels that some have. Thankyou

Turn by turn works only when above 1,000 ft., AGL. I don't fly fast enough to get lost, sometimes the ducks beat me home! Ok, all jokes aside, I love this app.! Set it up with a ADS-B dongle, the Hillbilly way, not in this Sandbox directly, but nicely on the side thanks to dogged determination, Samsungs split screen. The developer is correct, side by side not intermingled. But this is such a good gadget, that actually works accurately in an airplane with RDARBX ADS-B need to email, B&W rocks!

Works good on my Motor Z4 phone, but won't detect sensors on my Nexus 7 tablet where I need it. Location enabled and GPS working. Diagnostic sw says all sensors working. I would buy Pro version if it worked reliably.

Refuses to recognise active onboard GPS. With panel telling you this in middle of screen... Not much use as an EFIS.

would not recognize GPS or any sensors on Galaxy Tab

About this app

A-EFIS is an Electronic Flight Information System for airplanes, which runs right on your smartphone/tablet. A-EFIS works perfectly with the internal sensors of your device and it is an ideal EFIS to always have as a backup.

This is the free version of A-EFIS. The free version is fully functional with the exception that the main EFIS display is in black and white only.

A-EFIS makes use of digital filtering methods and state-of-the-art stochastic models in order to achieve exceptional accuracy and robustness.

ATTENTION: A-EFIS ONLY WORKS ON FIXED-WING AIRCRAFTS. NOT TO BE USED IN HELICOPTERS OR GROUND VEHICLES OF ANY KIND. USE ONLY IN AN AIRPLANE, OTHERWISE INDICATIONS WILL NOT BE CORRECT!

Features:
- Artificial Horizon (AHRS)
- Ground speed (via GPS)
- Altimeter (via GPS)
- Vertical speed (via GPS)
- Turn coordinator
- Slip ball
- Compass
- True course indicator (via GPS)
- Deviation from true track indication

A-EFIS has been extensively tested on ultralights, LSA, general aviation and airliners. Hint: To use A-EFIS in an airliner, just sit close to a window (in order for the device to be able to receive the GPS signal), put the device in a stable position and press "AHRS calibration" when the aircraft is in levelled flight. You will practically have the same flight data as the pilots in the cockpit!

IMPORTANT NOTICE: A-EFIS is not a certified aviation instrument. Do not rely on A-EFIS as your only navigation aid. Failure to comply to this warning may result in property damage, serious injury or death. You assume total responsibility and risk associated with using this application.
