The Android and Android TV app flat out don't work. "Unknown error". I'm streaming my media using a DS920+, latest os. Trying to stream to Galaxy Note 20 Ultra on Android 11 with April security and Shield TV version 8.2.2. Streaming works on my 2020 Samsung TV and via the web. Very disappointed. [UPDATE] My Shield TV seems to magically start working today. No upgrades. My phone, now updated to the latest May security update, still will not play movies.

It works but needs a update badly. Need to be cache videos thumbnails, every time I open the app it loads the thumbnails. Better video streaming. The app keeps logging me out while watching videos. The app hasn't been updated in years. Synology is a big company they should stay on top of their apps.

This works quite well on our Chrome TV, Roku and Fire streaming devices. I collect old movies in the public domain and with their NAS and this App we're able to enjoy them on our TV anytime we want

It works very nicely. You just need to know how to properly set up your Diskstation, that's all. One more thing, HEIC format so far requires VLC.

2FA is useless as ALL dsm apps keep asking for code almost all of the time. And add a rolling Let's encrypt certificate to it and you just can't avoid being disconnected. Imagine typing the login info into all the apps on all devices.

I logged in, everything is good. I see all my movies and TV shows. But then, when I press to watch them, a black screen comes up and nothing happens. No matter how long I wait. I'm on a HTC 11. This should work and I'm really annoyed that it doesn't. Now I don't get to watch movies in bed at night, hiding from my parents. Come on. Edit: did some more research and messed around with the settings. Not sure what I did but it works now. So four star instead of one.
