About this app

The World Health Organization published the Surgical Safety Checklist in 2008 as a way to increase the safety of patients undergoing surgical procedures. The use of the checklist is associated with a significant decrease in complications and death related to surgery and anaesthesia. This App is intended to provide surgical teams with an electronic format of the Checklist and make the use of the checklist easier in all surgical settings. It is recommended for all members of a surgical team including surgeons, anaesthesiologists, nurses and assistants.
