About this app

The Office of Child Care (OCC) is pleased to announce that the 2023 State and Territory Child Care and Development Fund Administrators Meeting (STAM 2023) will be an in-person event, and it will take place from Tuesday, August 1st, through Thursday, August 3rd, at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia. Virtual participation options will be available as well. When completing the registration form, make sure to select whether you are attending in-person or are participating virtually.

With an emphasis on interstate and interterritory discussions, STAM 2023 will feature regional meetings, peer-learning discussions, networking opportunities, state and territory examples of innovative practices, presentations by subject-matter experts and technical assistance specialists, Federal updates, and an analysis of data and information submitted by lead agencies.

The STAM 2023 Agenda will include breakouts across four topical session tracks:

Leading and implementing the CCDF program will focus on Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) program administration, leadership, capacity-building, program integrity and accountability, and fiscal topics. Breakouts in this track will be relevant to state and territory CCDF administrators and fiscal grant staff members.
Supporting the workforce will focus on attracting, preparing, supporting, and retaining a qualified, diverse child care workforce. Breakouts in this track will be relevant to workforce and professional development leads and CCDF partner personnel implementing workforce strategies, such as child care resource and referral (CCR&R) organizations.
Ensuring equal access will focus on child care subsidy policies, payment rates, and payment practices that provide equal access to child care. Breakouts in this track will be relevant to subsidy administrators and state and territory CCDF administrators.
Building the supply of high-quality care will focus on strategies for increasing the supply of child care, promoting quality, and ensuring health and safety. Breakouts in this track will be relevant to state and territory CCDF administrators, quality leads, licensing leads, and CCDF partner personnel leading supply-building and quality strategies, such as CCR&R organizations.

Across the tracks, the breakouts will also address cross-cutting themes that are central to the national child care landscape, such as equity, mental health and well-being, and research and data.
