This app is no good at all. I installed it and went for a 7 mile walk around Scarborough, altometer was decreasing in height when I was walking up hill, on a long stretch at sea level It was displaying 170 feet above. My walk was tracked and it had me as being in the sea for parts of the route, at least 100m out at sea! I can't possibly recommend this app, especially for those requiring relatively accurate information.

i wanted an altimiter app WITHOUT ADS. I chose this one because the description did not say "contains ads". i installed it. it looked good at first. then i decided to change from Metric to Imperial units. then, AN ADD POPPED UP! Deceit. I hate deceit. goodbye

In most cases the compass wouldnt move, however my Maps app would adjust so I know the phone is calibrated. Don't want to trust this on a trail.

Useless for navigation: only gives you the altitude above a hypothetical ellipsoid that doesn't exist in reality and only roughly approximates the shape of the Earth
